What is Law Day?
Law Day, held annually on May 1, is a national day set aside to celebrate the rule of law. Law Day provides an opportunity to understand how law and the legal process protect our liberty, strive to achieve justice, and contribute to the freedoms that all Americans share.

Every Law Day has a theme!
The 2026 Law Day theme is “The Rule of Law and the American Dream.” The rule of law—the idea that no person is above the law—is what ensures the rights of the people to live their lives as freely as possible and to pursue their dreams.
We extend a warm invitation for you to volunteer at our 2026 Law Day activities, taking place at various local courthouses. Join us in fostering civic education among high school and middle school students through engaging initiatives such as career panels, mock trials, and various other civics activities. Your expertise and guidance will undoubtedly contribute to creating an enriching experience for these young minds as they explore the intricacies of the legal system.
We look forward to your participation in making these events a success and inspiring the next generation of legal professionals.
Please stay tuned for volunteer opportunities coming soon!
